The musicians
Clara Barry
is a Swedish-American-French singer, violinist, and composer. She started her musical education with classical violin and graduated from the Conservatoire Rayonnement Régional of Paris. She is currently doing her Master in Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne in voice. She has performed in venues like Sunset-Sunset, La Belleviloise, l’Entrepôt, at the Swiss national radio RTS, Chorus, the Youth Olympic games… She arranges for different groups, and composes for film music. She works regularly with film maker Eleonore Geissler.
Emil Spányi
is hungarian pianist, composer, arranger, pedagogue, sound engineer/sound designer. He studied piano and composition in Budapest Lizst Academy, Music University GRAZ Austria, Berklee college of music and CNSM in Paris. He has performed on all continents and has accompanied, among others, Bob Berg, Mark Murphy, Ed Thigpen, Ray Brown, Archie Sheep, Al Jarreau, François Jeanneau. He is a professor of jazz piano, theory, composition, arrangement at the CRR in Paris and the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne.
Mátyás Szandai
(1977-2023)
Born in Hungary, he gratuated from the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and HEMU jazz in Lausanne. He’s currently teaching to New York University (NYU) students coming to study for a semester in Paris. Among others he has recorded with Kurt Rosenwinkel (2007) Danilo Perez
(2008) and Chris Potter (2009) with whom he also toured in the USA.
